For more than 10 years, Tricore HCM and Payday Payroll had already been working together to help thousands of small and mid-size businesses manage the complexities of the employee lifecycle. Yes, our respective offerings complement each other, presenting clients with cohesive, holistic solutions, but it’s always been about more than just a blending of services.
We’ve always felt aligned on a higher level
We both believe in developing custom client solutions, not in a one-size-fits-all approach. We both know the value of customer service and that clients prefer a helping hand instead of an automated phone system. We both know that doing the right thing for the client will always win out in the end. We both believe that people are at the core of this business.
So we decided to make it official
By formally uniting Tricore HCM and Payday Payroll under a fully refreshed Payday brand, our company is in a prime position to offer the market a compelling value proposition, powered by the intangibles that make us who we are. And that value proposition is simple:
The best technology and the best people.
We own the bulk of our own technology. That’s rare in this business. And it matters because it allows us to customize solutions (because no two businesses are the same) and control costs (you’ll find no baked-in licensing fees here!).
As for the people component of the value proposition, it’s both qualitative and quantitative. Our respective clients have been with us for years; some, decades. That speaks to the level of customer service we deliver. It speaks to how we grow with our clients. What’s more, both Tricore HCM and Payday Payroll have made the Inc. 5000 multiple times and we are certain that the qualities that earned those accolades will remain under the Payday brand.
What’s changing? What’s staying the same?
Everything and not much.
Operationally, as Payday, our collective footprint is national. Headquartered in Virginia Beach, Payday has additional locations in New York, New Jersey, Florida and Texas. We’ll be able to offer cohesive, custom clients solutions for every stage of the employee lifecycle—from recruiting and onboarding to compliance and reporting.
Day-to-day, it’ll feel like nothing’s changed. Clients will still have the same reps with the same phone numbers. Personalized customer service will remain priority number one. Executives from both companies will maintain their roles. No offices are closing; no one’s relocating. Clients will see a new brand, a new website, new email addresses and new business cards. That’s about it.
Let’s talk about the new brand for a minute
The new Payday brand is a fresh, modern evolution of our two storied companies. It reflects our relentless commitment to personalized service and consultation while capturing a clean, optimistic feel that aligns with our best-in-class technology. The new brand is approachable and human—critical traits in an industry that, as we’ve said, is all about people. Lastly, it taps into the emotion of an event that makes people happy: payday.

We’re incredibly excited for what the future holds. We look forward to developing innovative ways to serve our clients. We look forward to expanding into new markets and forming lasting relationships. But most of all, we look forward to embarking on this journey with you.
